بعد از سه سال انتظار نسخه دوم The Evil Within در کنفرانس E3 2017 شرکت bethesda معرفی شد. داستان نسخه اول سه سال بعد از اتفاقات نسخه اول اتفاق میفتد شخصیت اصلی بازی باز هم مانند نسخه اول سباستین کستلانوس هست. سباستین که همه چیز خود به علاوه دخترش "لیلی" را از دست داده بعد فهمیدن اینکه ممکن او زنده باشد باز هم به امید اینکه دخترش را نجات دهد وارد دستگاه stem میشود نجات دادن دخترش شاید اخرین امید سباستین برای این باشد که دوباره به زندگی قبلی خود برگردد.​

The Evil Within (2014) was a perfectly fine game; it had some issues, but it worked. So, it was only to be expected that The Evil Within 2 would come in, and fix most of the problems that its predecessor had. And it did! Plus, The Evil Within 2 turned the game into a terrifying open world experience teeming with side missions.

In The Evil Within 2, we are once again in the shoes of Sebastian Castellanos. Castellanos is on the search for his daughter, Lily. Unfortunately, the only way to save her is to team up with Mobius — the group that was responsible for destroying his former life.

The Evil Within 2 allows the player to choose how they’re going to play the game — use stealth, attack with guns ablazin’, or flee from danger.

Sebastian and Myra Castellanos, along with their daughter Lily, were once a happy family. But then things went wrong.

First, Lily was presumed to be dead as a result of a house fire. Then, Myra suddenly disappeared. Sebastian understandably took it hard, but his dedication to his job enabled him to work through his loss. That is until he came face to face with MOBIOUS’ STEM system.

In The Evil Within 2, Sebastian learns that Lily didn’t die in a house fire after all. He willingly re-enters the STEM system against his better judgement to save her. Then, in another shocking twist, he discovers that Myra is in there too; she disappeared all those years ago because she suspected foul play with the reported death of their daughter and caught wind of MOBIUS.

Hoping to once again be reunited outside the STEM system with both his wife and daughter, Sebastian does all he can to save them – but Myra has changed. Now a monster wishing to keep Lily in the STEM system for her own safety, Sebastian reluctantly fights his wife. Emerging victorious, he tries to get both Lily and Myra to safety, but his wife insists on staying behind to shut down the STEM system for good.

The story of the godfather of Survival Horror is a story made of innovation and courage.

The innovation brought by Shinji Mikami and his undeniable influence certify his distinctive traits. Mikami is an artist who tries to develop innovative concepts, improve the standard of video games through the use of intelligent mechanics. It is credible to suppose that he wants to instill the courage to continue daring to designers and creatives who will come with the same confidence with which Capcom and Fujiwara entrusted him with the Resident Evil project when he was still twenty years old. "One of our study's priorities is to give new talent an opportunity," he explained in an interview a few years ago.

And thinking about it, Mikami has always had this vision turned towards the future throughout his career: as much as his greatest success as a designer and producer will remain etched in the videogame world forever (absolutely to remember also Dino Crisis, The Evil Within and God Hand) the Japanese icon has also had roles as writer and supervisor in dozens of projects of absolute importance, such as Phoenix Wright, Killer7 and Onimusha, all fueled by concepts of remarkable quality and which also have the imprint of Mikami in them.

It is precisely in these roles that the Japanese producer has been able to influence those around him in a more decisive way, helping and promoting the professional development of those who today are considered at the same level. Like Hideki Kamiya (Bayonetta, Devil May Cry), Goichi Suda (No More Heroes, Killer is Dead), Atsushi Inaba (Okami, Viewtiful Joe) and Shu Takumi (Ace Attorney). And it is no coincidence that the games produced by artists close to Mikami are of the highest quality, so much is the creative influence it has had (and continues to have).

امروز تمومش کردم.
هر چقدر بازی اول بد بود، این چقدر عالی بود.:دی
داستان شخصیت ها گرافیک اینجا خیلی خوب بودن.
مکانیزم های مسخره عنوان اول یا حذف شدن یا خیلی کم رنگ تر هستن.
بزرگترین مشکل بنظرم نبود تنوع در دشمن ها بود، بجز اون مشکل چندانی نداشت.
واقعا حیفه بخاطر بازی اول و ناامید کننده بودنش + مارکتینگ بد اونقدرا بهش توجه نشد.
وگرنه نسبت به عنوان اول واقعا پیشرفت اساسی گرده.
با اینکه بعید میدونم امیدوارم عنوان سومی ازش ساخته بشه چون واقعا با بازی دوم بنظرم تونسته خودشو ثابت کنه.
