We really only have one thing to say and that is: of course Dino Crisis is on our list! Capcom's survival-horror game is easily one of the best dinosaur games to ever exist, and that's really saying something

Dino Crisis (1999)
Dino crisis? What Dino crisis? Oh yes, the escaped dinosaurs running riot around a secret island research facility that, for copyright reasons, had absolutely nothing to do with Jurassic Park. Developed by Capcom, the creators of Resident Evil, Dino Crisis was intended as ‘panic horror’ rather than survival horror, with pterodactyls swooping from the night sky and raptors leaping out at you from dark corners like bitey pranksters. Otherwise, this was basically Resident Evil, and we’ve already covered how amazing that was.

Dino Crisis
Even Capcom tried its hand at expanding its Resident Evil formula, with Dino Crisis being the next most recognizable example. As the name would suggest, Dino Crisis was a predictable but no less effective mix of Resident Evil with Jurassic Park by replacing zombies with dinosaurs.

We do not know if anyone in Capcom is actually thinking about reviving the concept of survival horror with dinosaurs created by Mikami, but we can say with certainty that we would welcome the idea with hearts in turmoil and eyes full of joy; we loved Dino Crisis for his crazy desire to experiment while remaining on the safe side (he is not made up of the new PS Plus), for this reason he doesn’t deserve the sad silence that has surrounded him for many years.

Long story short, you are part of a team of operatives who are sent to an island (to start) and find out the truth about a dangerous experiment that has allowed dinosaurs to be reborn and then set free on the island.
The games evolve from there but the danger is the same. You never know when the dinosaurs are going to show up, and as such you’ll need to be ready to take them on or flee when they arrive.
