When the original Dino Crisis was released for PlayStation in 1999, it was deemed "Resident Evil with dinosaurs" by many critics. Naturally, the survival horror gameplay of Resident Evil, combined with the dinosaurs, was a winning formula. The game went on to be one of the bestselling PS1 titles ever
Its sequel was also hailed by critics and audiences. It took a turn towards adventure over horror and created tons of new, intricate settings. Dino Crisis 2 is still remembered as one of PS1's best games, that, unfortunately, has never been remastered or rereleased.

closely resembled Jurassic Park. It was the best of both worlds, and a new franchise was born in the process
Resident Evil fans were able to wade right on in, but they faced unexpected challenges in the form of dinosaurs and other creatures that didn't exactly behave like the undead. The result was a much more heart-pounding and nail-biting horror game, blending horror and sci-fi together quite well.

We all know the Resident Evil 4 Remake is cooking, so let’s hope that after that’s done, Capcom decides to place the polarizing Resident Evil 5 remake on the backburner and finally pay attention to their other survival horror classic: Dino Crisis. We close the list with one of the great Capcom titles and another of the star sagas whose remake would be a bombshell. Probably more than all those previously mentioned, for offering an aesthetic and a plot that would interest a wider audience. In Dino Crisis, Regina and her companions are sent to an island to find Dr. Kirk. But they will not have it easy at all, due to the voracious dinosaurs that flood the island. Dino Crisis arrived at the height of survival horror and it is hard to believe that, to this day, no more titles have been released in the saga, because it would have all the ballots to reach a mass audience. Hopefully Capcom listens to the public and cheers up with a Dino Crisis Remake.

Dino Crisis (1999)​

During the height of Resident Evil's popularity, publisher/developer Capcom released a similar game in the form of Dino Crisis. When a time dilemma brings dinosaurs to a secluded research facility, it's up to secret agent Regina to do battle with these ferocious creatures.

Granted, this game's plot is very similar to Jurassic Park, but its darker tone and more violent dinos help to distance itself from the Spielberg classic. Basically, any gamers who think the idea of Resident Evil with dinosaurs sounds awesome should seek Dino Crisis out.
