Sorry for the late reply – your previous mail reached mebut I had no time to answer you. Sorry for that.
It’s good to hear you’re trying to find other userwho would be willing to invest their free time in participating in this bigproject. As you may know,
the team for each of the languages consisted of a group oftranslators and an editor above them all, taking care of the coherence ofterminology, style and the correctness of the overall work. The amount of textin The Witcher 2 comprises around 350 000 words, i.e. over 1000 pages oftext. In order to guarantee a high quality translation, the project is requiredto be managed in two steps - translation and proofreading/editing.
This is the team structure you’d need to build in order tostart the project. Please take into consideration that with a team of around 11people (10 translators and one proofreader), working in their free time (afterwork/school, on weekends), you’ll need around 6-7 months to finish alltranslation works.
I have one more question – As far as I know Iran has verystrict laws concerning the display of ***** themes and The Witcher 2, as yousurely know, has quite big amounts of profane language, nudity and *** scenes. Aren’tyou going to have any problems concerning this matter if it turns out you’rehaving contact with such themes and are translating the game into Persian? Wedefinitely wouldn’t want to cause you any problems with that.
