Screen Gems just released a new trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth (fifth…wow) in the movie series based on the iconic survival horror franchise, and it's a little weird.
It starts out looking more like a romantic comedy that you might see Reese Witherspoon starring in -- until the point when a zombie creature tries to eat someone's face off. While it was a bit hard to tell what the hell was going on with the plot, it appears at least part of it is going for some kind of "it was all a dream/implanted memory/etc" sci-fi trope. Of course, by time the trailer is over, things have returned to normal, with a host of big-budget special effects and stylish violence. Watch for yourself below.
