Madison approaches the mailbox and checks it. She does the same thing with the trash container, where she finds a blood-stained woman shoe. She approaches the door and she's given two choices, depending on where she's looking at: ringing or knocking. No response. A range of comments to try to get some attention is displayed. Three choices next to a PS3 controller at the lower left corner of the screen. We'll use tilt sensing to choose. A fourth choice at the lower right corner is reserved to the right analog stick. Closed door, no response. The girl heads to the back of the house. As she walks, she'll turn her head towards things that draw her attention, a half open window among them.
She makes a ladder out of a few drum cans (by pressing square quite many times to pass the effort feeling to the player; then, in order to open the window, we'll have to shake the controller up and down for a while). At this point, we find out we can press L1 and find out what our character is thinking; these thoughts aren't cyclic and will vary depending on the situation
