Next-gen Prince of Persia named and dated?

Online listing hints at September release

Ever since word of a planned next-gen Prince of Persia title leaked online earlier in the year, confirmed details have been scarce.

Thus far we only have this one piece of art and a whole lot of speculation...

And now we have Play.com continuing this information drip-feed, listing a forthcoming Xbox 360 title on their website entitled 'Prince of Persia: Ghost of the Past.' Available to pre-order and with a release date of 01 September 2007 (which incidentally is a decidedly unlikely Saturday drop date...) is this set to be the elusive debut of the franchise on Microsoft's vanilla machine? Whilst we fully expect the wall crawling Prince to arrive in due course, the jury is still out as to whether this game name or launch date is legit.

Instead of climbing a surface with the aid of daggers in frustration, we are awaiting an official word from Ubisoft. In the mean time tell us if you think this is the real deal in the comments box below.
