The year 1991 brought us a lot of cool stuff, such as: MS-DOS 5.0, EPP, TrueType, 486SX, id Software, and of course Eric Chahi’s legendry game Another World (also known as Out of this World and Outer World). Another World brought a lot of innovation with its cinematic graphics effects, sound, cut scenes. On the other hand, the gameplay was not so innovative; it was similar to other titles such as Price of Persia. However, that didn’t stop Another World from being one of the best games out there. If you didn’t guess already, that was the correct answer to our latest contest.
Even through Another World was not a great commercial success, the game gained a lot of fans and became very popular. It was available on many platforms such as: 3DO, Amiga, Apple IIGS, Apple Macintosh, Atari ST, Sega Mega Drive, Sega Mega-CD, SNES, and of course, our beloved MS-DOS.
If that isn’t enough, they even made a remake back in 2006. The remake should work perfectly under Microsoft's latest Windows Operating Systems, it's also featuring improved graphics and sound over the original version. If you weren’t lucky enough to play it back then, you can grab the demo by
