Codemasters today announces an original next-generation title with the signing of Overlord from developer Triumph Studios, whose pedigree includes the award-winning strategy series Age of Wonders.
Overlord is a groundbreaking action adventure, set in a seriously warped fantasy world. Scheduled for a summer 2007 release, Overlord will launch for PC and as a console exclusive for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
Controlling a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, the player emerges, near death, from the ruins of the old Overlord’s Dark Tower. Only the player’s actions will determine if they will rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord; it’s all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeed… evil or really evil! Played out with plenty of black humour and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters.
Overlord’s key innovation is the introduction of an array of impish creatures – the Minions. They believe you are the old Overlord reborn and will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for you. Throughout the game players will actively control a horde of these gremlin-like critters and they’ll follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is.

With more details on this unique gaming property to be revealed through the course of its development, Codemasters will publish Overlord for Xbox 360 and PC in summer 2007.

بقیه عکسها Target Render هستند و از گیم پلی نیستند.
با وجود سرعت بالا چنین گرافیکی اون هم بعد از اون همه خالی بندی اصلا قابل قبول نیست! باز صد رحمت به چمن های X-Menولی زیاد به این عکسها گیر ندین.از سبک و تریلر بازی معلومه که سرعتش خیلی زیاده و دیگه کسی نگه نمیداره که چمنها رو دید بزنه ! اون طوری که سازنده های بازی گفتن توی این بازی فیزیک حرف اول رو میزنه نه گرافیک. باید تا E3 صبر کنیم ببینیم game play ای که از بازی نشون میدن چه جوریه.
IGN: Let's talk about that then. What makes Fatal Inertia a true next-generation title? Beyond its visuals, how does it take gaming to the next level?
Bond: Physics, baby! I'm really excited about the amount of physical interaction in Fatal Inertia during a race. I think this level of interaction makes the gameplay much more varied and fun than was possible with the previous generation of consoles.
IGN: Speaking of the last generation of consoles, there have been several "racing action" games of this type in the past. WipEout(Edit:it was fantastic IMO) and Slipstream 5000 specifically come to mind and are generally considered benchmarks for the genre. What will Fatal Inertia offer the genre that those games and others like it didn't?
Bond: FI will offer significantly more interesting and interactive tracks and weapons than other combat/racing games on the market. Previous games tended to have courses that were very restrictive and linear with few obstacles or interactive features. Our aim is that Fatal Inertia will have orders of magnitude, more obstacles, and interactive elements than ever seen before in a racing game.
IGN: Originally the PlayStation 3 was scheduled for a spring 2006 launch and Fatal Inertia was always intended to come out along with it. With the extra time that the move to November has given the team, have you taken advantage of it and included or modified anything new that might not have made it otherwise?
Bond: We are using the extra time to flesh out and polish the existing game. We're very focused on quality and Sony's postponement of the PS3 has allowed us to make the game that much better.
IGN: Is Fatal Inertia planned as a launch title in every territory?
Tomoike: FI will be launched simultaneously in Japan, North America and Europe!
IGN: Will the game be playable at E3 and if so, which stage or area can we expect to see?
Tomoike: Yes, We will have an early demo that is playable at the show.
Bond: The demo will include several maps that range from wind-swept canyons to giant swamps and arctic tundra.
Ubisoft gave visitors to last year's Tokyo Game Show a glimpse at a next-gen action title it referred to as Project Assassins. The project has a new name and details today, as the publisher announced that it is bringing Assassin's Creed to the PlayStation 3.
Set in 1191 AD at the height of the Third Crusade for the Holy Land, Assassin's Creed puts players in the silent shoes of Altair and gives them the opportunity "to shape events during this pivotal moment in history." Altair is presumably a member of a group of ruthless assassins whose plan is to bring an end to the bitter struggle by striking out at both warring parties.
The game is being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio (creators of hits like Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), and Ubisoft is making some big promises for the project.

اين تا حدودی درسته ولی معمولا کنسول ها در اواخر عمرشون سود آور می شوند، چون مدام برای رقابت قيمت فروش رو پايين ميارند، مثلا microsoft در زمانی که ps3 به بازار بياد قيمت کنسول خودش رو کاهش خواهد داد.شركتها براي هميشه روي كنسولها ضرر نميدن ، بلكه تا زماني اين ضرر رو ميدن كه قيمتهاي تموم شده سخت افزار از قيمت واقعي يك كنسول بازي ( در مقطع زماني خاص ) بيشتر بشه
اين حرف کاملا اشتباه هست، سود اصلی کنسول سازها از بازی ها و سرويس آنلاين و فروختن Dev-kit و امتياز توليد x-box به سازندگان بازی (third-party) ها بدست مياد.تنها سودي كه براي مايكروسافت داره اينه كه تعداد كنسول بيشتري ميفروشه و در واقع باز هم از روي فروش كنسول سود ميكنه .
تا چند ماه بعد از عرضه همچنان این کنسول از مشکل خراب بودن دکمه مثلث رنج میبرد :laughing: :laughing: حالا اشکالات تصویر و اینا بماند ....
وجود مشکل در فاصله زمانی کوتاه از عرضه کاملا طبیعیه(البته به تعداد محدود و کم)
سپهر جان ، نوكرتم ، تو ديگه چرا ؟؟؟؟يکی نيست بگه مصطفی جون نوکرتم، قبل از اينکه از مايکروفاست و محصولاتش غر بزنی ، از اونها استفاده نکن چون انتخابش با خودته، اگر هم استفاده می کنی و حالش هم می بری و يک قرون هم پول نميدی بابتشون ،پس ديگه غر نزن.
اين چيزی که می گی باز هم به انتخاب خودته، همين حالا هم لينوکس تمام نرم افزار هايی که احتياج داری رو داره، از برنامه ويرايش تصوير گرفته تا opengl و محيط های برنامه نويسی که همه مجانی هم هستند، چرا ازش استفاده نمی کنی ؟ چون نرم افزارهايی که تحت ويندوز هست بهتر هست .ولي اين به معناي انتخاب من نيست ! ، اگر همين فردا عموميت لينوكس به حدي برسه كه تمام نيازهاي من رو در استفاده از كامپيوتر برطرف كنه يك روز هم از ويندوز استفاده نميكنم
پس شما PS2 نداشتيد که بدونيد در اوايل اومدن چجوری بوده ! هنوز هم PS2 خش می ندازه رو CD هاهنوز كرشهاي بي موردي كه X360 داشت ( اونهم در روزهاي ابتدايي لانچش ) رو كسي يادش نرفته
