God is a geek 8/10Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones opens a lot of doors for the series. The Metroidvania overworld lets you learn and use the different gadgets in open-ended ways, offering ample opportunities to experiment. The dark aesthetic design doesn’t offer as much variety as preferred, however, and the controls can be difficult to juggle in the more advanced puzzles. Still, Curve Studios deliver a confident progression from their original hit, building upon their stealth philosophy and piling on more content than any Wii U owner could ask for. From the level editor to the community features to the leaderboards, the campaign is just the tip of the iceberg. Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones is a buffet of quality content, focusing around a seamless mixture of stealth, puzzles and platforming that any Wii U owner should definitely investigate.
The Sixth Axis 8/10Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones has big ideas, then. Between its HUB world, focused gadget implementation, and unique Wii U co-op, it’s a game with enough to ensure it escapes any sort of criticism for just being a texture pack. While the ideas aren’t all perfect, it’s still a marvellous and unique precision puzzle platformer when it focuses its ideas.
Eurogamer 6/10Stealth Inc 2 is a really smart sequel, taking what worked so well in the original and then expanding in every direction, using it as a jumping off point create that’s more diverse and richer. With cleverly designed co-op play, it makes full use of the Wii U’s capabilities and console owners should certainly sit up and pay attention.
Geeksundergrace 9/10Some will no doubt relish these barbs as further encouragement to beat the system; others will see its steep challenge as a mountain that must be conquered, whatever the cost to their sanity. But for my money Stealth Inc. 2 falls short of the games I'd consider its peers, never quite capturing the simple ingenuity of Toki Tori 2, the nervy thrills of Mark of the Ninja, nor the physical comedic energy of 'Splosion Man. It's just too demanding and too laborious too often. It may no longer be Bastard by name, but by nature it's a bit of a git.
Nintendo Enthusiast 9.5/10Once again, I highly recommend Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones. If you enjoyed the first game then this is a no brainer. If you want to skip straight to this title then go for it. The first game was an enjoyable experience but Stealth Inc 2 is the original game improved and with more content. Easily a day one purchase on the Nintendo E-Shop.
Pros:
Excellent audio and visuals
Tons of content
Top notch gameplay
Some of the best local co-op on the Wii U
Cons:
Trial and Error gameplay could be frustrating
Cut scenes are a bit drab
Digitalpy 5/5
.Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones improves on the first game in every way. Test chambers incorporate gadgets for fun and clever puzzles while the sprawling Metroidvania-style map gives a chance to really experiment with your abilities while you explore.
Stealth Inc 2 is a remarkably well-crafted and well-paced platformer, and one of the most welcome surprises to arrive on the Wii U this year
