به نظر می رسد استدیوی سازنده Fallout: New Vegas یعنی Obsidian Entertainment بر روی عنوان خاصی برای نسل بعد که ممکن است Fallout 4 باشد,کار می کند.
طبق گزارشی از OXM لیست درخواستهای همکاری این استدیو و آگهی استخدام با مضمون:

• Level/Area design experience on at least one AAA title.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to evaluate and understand the mechanics of a game and create 3D layouts that complement the experience.
• Proficient with a modern game editor such as Unreal 3, CryEngine3, Source or equivalent.
• Love of computer and console role-playing and action games.
• Excellent communication skills - you must be able to get up out of your chair and talk to your coworkers!
• Able to adhere to tight schedules and possess the ability to assist others in meeting deadlines.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office, level layout programs (SketchUp, Visio, etc.), bug tracking software, and source control software.

ثابت می کند این استدیو بر روی عنوان جدیدی کار می کند که با توجه به سابقه Obsidian و این خط از آگهی

احتمالا عنوانی RPG است.
همچنین مدتیست که کارگردان هنری Obsidian یعنی Rob Nesler در لیست کارهایش نام عنوانی برای نسل بعد به چشم می خورد که کار بر روی آن از آوریل 2012 شروع شده است.شخص Rob Nesler در این مورد تنها به یک جمله ی "یک عنوان برای کنسولهای نسل بعد که هنوز معرفی نشده" بسنده می کند.
