GameStar 75
I have to praise for Arcane, the level design has really pleased me despite backtracking.

Game Rant 80
Youngblood offers a great gameplay loop that will likely keep FPS fans busy for a few dozen hours, even if it doesn't quite deliver in terms of character and world-building.

Jeuxvideo.com 70

PC Invasion 70
The series returns with its incredible first-person shooting, wild gunfights, and a ton of Nazi killing. Unfortunately, that's about all it brings. The narrative is fairly shallow and it does little to add anything new while we wait for the next main Wolfenstein game.

GameSpot 80
The Blazkowicz sisters steal the show in a bite-sized co-op FPS spin-off that packs a hell of a punch, further invigorating the Wolfenstein franchise.

Digital Trends 70
When all is said and done, and Nazi Germany’s ego has been bruised by a couple of rad teenage girls, one fact remains — Wolfenstein: Youngblood is fun as hell. The goofy Blazkowicz sisters make it compelling enough to endure its sometimes annoying quirks. Bring a partner for best results. The game shines when you’re playing co-op alongside a friend.

The Games Machine 80
Wolfenstein: Youngblood could be wrongly categorized as a "more of the same", but the many new features make it an indispensable title for fans of the series, even if these new mechanics aren’t without flaws.

Worth Playing 80
Despite some big changes to the overall formula, Wolfenstein: Youngblood remains another solid entry in a very reliable series. The strong shooting mechanics are accompanied by co-op, which makes things a bit easier and retains the fun of the first game. The lighter story tone may not be to everyone's tastes, but when you consider how dark the last game went, the shift isn't too drastic. The more open approach may break the enemy AI in a few instances, but the newfound freedom over more environments is a fair trade. Shooting fans will like Youngblood, and the appeal only increases when you consider the dearth of co-op games in the genre.

COGconnected 69
Wolfenstein Youngblood looks great and has solid shooting mechanics, but misses the mark when it comes to the things that have become Wolfenstein’s greatest strengths. Without the wacky hijinx and startlingly engaging story of The New Colossus, Youngblood is a good co-op shooter that will struggle to stand out from the crowd. Strange design choices and repetitive quests try to bring it down further, but delicious good looks and flexible progression systems could make it attractive to the right suitor. And hey, killing Nazis never goes out of style.

Everyeye.it 84
Being with a friend to face daily and weekly assignments, trying to raise the difficulty by touching inhuman vertices of pain, falling and trying again, repeating with the daughters of Blazko the family mantra ("the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi"), it could be a great pastime for these hot summer months.

SpazioGames 80
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a new concept for the franchise and the Arkane's hand touches the game design. Not all the innovations fit well with the formula, especially the RPG elements.

IGN Spain 86
MachineGames continues to raise the overall level of the Wolfenstein franchise, although it could have taken more advantage of the cooperative and there is excessive grinding.

PCGamesN 80
Considering it’s ‘only’ a spin-off, this is a riotously fun and well-designed entry in the series - however, it’s built with co-op in mind. Solo play is viable, but play with a friend, and you’ll both have one of the best shooter experiences of the year so far.

PC Gamer 79
Youngblood's gorgeous, terrible world is worth exploring, despite a slight narrative and oppressively boring progression systems.

Trusted Reviews 80
The usual Wolfenstein brilliance is here, and MachineGames have shown they’ve got a great handle on splattering fascists. They should be commended for being bold enough to take big risks here, and several of those risks have paid off, while those that haven’t only served to make the game a great deal weirder...Games as a medium would be better if risks like this were taken with more beloved games. It’s unlikely, with how expensive the whole AAA development scene is, but this is a glittering example of what can happen, despite its flaws.

Game Informer 85
Youngblood excels as an entertaining shooter with the right kind of RPG elements and choices. However, when compared to the stellar and shocking storytelling of previous Wolfensteins, this entry comes up short. It has a few interesting breadcrumbs about what happened in the aftermath of Wolfenstein II, including the fates of a couple characters, but this outing is mainly focused on the exploits of its dynamic duo. As far as protagonists go, Jess and Soph are likeable goofballs – a detour from their sad-sack papa – but they don’t have any real character development

IGN 65
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is an aggressively okay co-op shooter that doesn’t come close to recapturing the joy of its predecessor’s action or its surprisingly interesting characters and story. It doesn’t completely fumble the joy of its weapons and abilities or counteract the pleasing sensation of squishing Nazis between your toes, but it does make it harder to enjoy at seemingly every turn with an out-of-place leveling system, busted stealth gameplay, some aggravating boss fights and inadequate checkpoint saves. Frankly, I expected more from the Blazkowicz twins.

GameSpace 70
Like Old Blood, it ditches the in depth story in favor of gunplay and carnage. The core gameplay simply outweighs the story by a large margin. Good graphics and gunplay can only carry your game so far. Fans of the series like it for the story, not the gameplay alone, and thus will likely be as disappointed as I was.

Guardian 80
Youngblood is adolescent in all the right ways, anarchic and ferocious on the surface with thoughtful design running underneath. Characters Jess and Soph are loud, goofy and annoying, but that’s exactly as they should be. Some of the writing is a little iffy, and you won’t find much in the way of nuanced storytelling, but to be honest it isn’t required. This a game about two young women blasting racists into goo – for me, that equals a bloody good time.

Destructoid 60
Maybe I just expected too much, but I find myself missing the careful balance of story and gameplay that The New Order had down pat. Youngblood makes plenty of strides forward for this series, but it also takes some steps backward that end up hurting the overall package.

Eurogamer Italy 80
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a particular spin-off, which hybridizes the frenetic action of Machine Games shooting to a more open gdr structure, focusing all on the cooperative. Overall the operation was successful, and if you are aware of expecting a different experience than the one offered by all the other chapters of the brand, the purchase is absolutely recommended.

Hobby Consolas 80
Wolfenstein: Youngblood falls a step behind previous games... Which doesn't mean it's bad at all. The formula works as fine as ever, and there are some very welcome changes. You can kill Nazis with a friend, too, which means this games freaking rules.

Screen Rant 70
There was a lot of potential in the idea for Wolfenstein: Youngblood but it feels more like a proof of concept for something bigger than a full-fledged experience....Youngblood is an entertaining game by its own standard, but it feels like its potential was wasted by decreasing the scope of what could have been an epic conflict.

Metro GameCentral 70
A flawed but enjoyable co-op spin-off that’s unfocused and scrappy but still manages to find lots of entertainingly imaginative ways to kill Nazis.

JeuxActu 85
Wolfenstein Youngblood is a very good cooperative shooter that leaves the linear narrative legacy to venture more to the RPG side of things. The result is brilliant as long as you have a good pal to play with.

Jeuxvideo.com 70

PlayStation Universe 85
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is an excellent stopgap before the inevitable Wolfenstein 3. You can dip your toes back into the world and the new combat changes come together to create the best combat in the series. Light RPG elements help add a new flavour to the franchise as well. Jess and Soph are the standout stars of Youngblood and help lift up the underwhelming and largely inconsequential main narrative. The overall package isn't as good as The New Order, but Youngblood is a silly, fun, and gory romp worth experiencing.

VGC 60
New Colossus fans will probably dislike its unfocused narrative and fussy levelling system, but Youngblood offers plenty of blood and thunder if you give it time.

GamePro Germany 77
It's all about the (still fun) gunplay, but the story suffers heavily... Youngblood, especially in co-op, is quite fun. Personally, I would have liked but fewer side quests and more "real" story missions, because the latter are clearly too short.

====================

CGMagazine 60
Wolfenstein: Youngblood feels less like the story-driven co-op shooter that it should have been, and more like a product made to cash in on the legendary IP.

Jeuxvideo.com 70

Attack of the Fanboy 60
If you are, looking for a straight forward co-op shooter with plenty of customization and collectibles, you might enjoy the game with friends or random online players. Solo players should probably avoid this one though.
